Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a first-person shooter video game developed by Danger Close Games and published by Electronic Arts. It is a direct sequel to 2010s series reboot Medal of Honor (2010) and the fourteenth Medal of Honor installment in the series.
The title was officially announced on February 23, 2012, and was released in North America on October 23, 2012, and is released in the United Kingdom on October 26, 2012.
The game opens with a team of U.S. Navy SEALs composed of Mother, Preacher, and Voodoo from the previous game, sabotaging a black market arms deal in Karachi, Pakistan. They successfully plant a charge on the truck that they intend to destroy; however, when they detonate the charge, the adjacent cargo ship suddenly explodes as well, nearly destroying the entire shipping docks. The chaos forces the Mother and Preacher to flee. They are later debriefed by Dusty, a former U.S. Army Delta Force operator from the previous game, who is now their OGA handler. From the conversation, it is implied that Mother and Preacher are currently "out" , presumably from the previously botched mission. Voodoo is now team leader of Task Force Mako, along with "Stump", another DEVGRU operative. They sweep through a Somali coastal town, along with U.S. Marines, in an attempt to clear the area of piracy operations.
